The Army Corps of Engineers detonated more munitions Wednesday found on the former World War II era bombing range in southeast Orlando, Florida, near Lee Vista Boulevard.
The ordnance included an explosive fuse for an M-76 incendiary bomb and the remains of several M-50 thermite bomblets.
The items were found on the privately owned ranch property just south of the planned developments of Vista Lakes, Crowntree Lakes and Tivoli Woods which total about 4,000 homes along with Odyssey Middle School and numerous businesses.
The neighborhoods were built on the northern fringe of the former Pinecastle Jeep Range, 12,483 acres used in the 1940s to train bombardiers for combat.
